«Lastochka» (ES2G, ES2GP, ES1P)

The electric train ES2G "Swallow" with asynchronous traction motors is designed to transport passengers on railways of 1520 mm gauge.
The Lastochka electric train is a solution for urban, suburban and regional transportation. Thanks to the introduction of the Russian microprocessor control system, which was first integrated into the train in 2015, it became possible to vary the number of cars in the "Swallows" from 5 to 12 units. At the same time, the traction characteristics of the train do not change. This configuration ensures stable transportation in big cities during rush hour and on busy inter-regional routes.
Depending on the geography of operation, electric trains can be upgraded to provide traction with any electrification system (direct or alternating current).

Electric train modifications:

  • In total, the company has already produced 90 Lastochka-Standard electric trains, which run in the Moscow, Leningrad and Sverdlovsk regions and at the MCC.

  • A modern and comfortable five-car Swallow Premium, accommodating 350 passengers, runs on the Moscow-Ivanovo route.

  • This year, it is planned to produce a two-system electric train operating on both direct and alternating current, which can be operated on various long-distance routes up to 700 km.11

Due to the use of modern technical solutions, in particular, an asynchronous traction drive, the complexity of maintenance is significantly reduced and repair intervals are increased
The flexibility of the internal layout makes it possible to optimally adapt the electric train to various operating requirements
